Computer Resources
Below is a sampling of freeware, some things I use that are free, and other computer resources. There is a lot of shareware out there. Just do a search for "shareware" or "freeware". If you are going to do a lot with your computing resources on a budget, you need to start learning that this stuff exists and how to begin finding it.

Lots of different computer programs for free.
Color Cop
Free download lets you sample colors from anywhere on your computer screen and gives you the color code for Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML) and the values for customizing colors in standard programs like Paint and Word.
The Gimp
An open-source program for graphics manipulation -- similar functionality to "Photoshop" but without the pricetag.
TagCheck
Writing code and need a tag-checker? This one is free.
GNU's Not Unix!
GNU is a project of open-source software. This is also the website of the Free Software Foundation.

A Shareware site. Shareware is not actually free but it is usually very reasonably priced.
